Panama City is governed by the Alcaldía de Panamá (Mayor’s Office). The city is divided into boroughs (corregimientos) for local administration, including San Felipe (Casco Viejo), Bella Vista, San Francisco, and others.

Tips
- For immigration and visas, visit the National Immigration Service (SNM), not the city
- Driving licences are handled by the Transit Authority (ATTT)
- Certificates of residence are obtained from corregimiento offices
- Many government procedures now use the government-wide digital platform (plataforma digital)
